The Carolina Crossmen make their home in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina but travel across the eastern United States to lead people in worship of the Savior who died for all. They are at home in the small country church or on the stage in the large auditorium. Over the years they have shared stages with the McKameys, the Florida Boys, the Lewis Family, and legends like the Primitive Quartet, the Inspirations and Naomi Sego. While dedicated to the preservation of Southern Gospel music their style can vary from classic Southern Gospel to jazz, country, or bluegrass flavor. The group sings many original songs but they also love the old songs. The most important thing in selecting songs is that they be Biblically based with a clear Gospel message. The group has had success with radio airplay as well as television appearances, both live and video. The quartet records with Eddie Swann on Gideon Records, part of Regal Music Group of Fletcher, NC. The Carolina Crossmen promote Southern Gospel music by hosting their annual hometown singing each May at the Cullowhee Valley School, Cullowhee, NC. The three day weekend brings in the best talent in the country by featuring groups such as Naomi & the Segos, the Primitive Quartet, the Diplomats, Whisnants, Singing Cookes, and the Dixie Echoes. It is the prayer of the Carolina Crossmen that God will continue to minister through them in a mighty way to save the lost and revive the church to a fresh zeal in serving Jesus Christ. |

Chip Thomason - Tenor Chip
is best described as the "Utility Man". Chip has been involved in the music
industry since the age of 10. He is a writer as well as a talented
musician. You never know which direction Carroll will point him in
during the service. Chip and his wife Lisa attend Zion FWB Church. Email: Chip@CarolinaCrossmen.com | |
 | John Locust - Vocals/Piano John Locust was 16 years old when the Carolina Crossmen found him at the head of Goose Creek in Cherokee, North Carolina. He is the only pianist the Carolina Crossmen have ever had and the only one they've ever wanted. It took awhile for him to overcome his bashful and shy ways but he has become a great performer and loves to meet all the folks in the crowd. John repairs and tunes pianos and gives a few piano lessons. He also owns Locust's Limo Service - this will be great if the bus breaks down. John, Cindy and her daughter Israel, attend Whittier Church of God Email: John@CarolinaCrossmen.com |
Jonathan Thompson - Vocals/Bass Jonathan Thompson rejoins the Carolina Crossmen after coming off the road in 2009. Jonathan sang lead for the Carolina Crossmen for six years and now returns as "fill-in" piano player/bass player, and you never know he may even sing a song or two. Jonathan, his wife Tiffany, their daughters Brittany and Kaitlyn, and their baby boy Jacob live in Morganton, GA and are members of the First Baptist Church of Blairsville, GA.
